Frozen Room
Light installation with sound
TRIGG, Gävle Konstcentrum, Sweden 2007.
My work ”Frozen Room” refers to a text about frozen bodies waiting for new life. The text was the starting-point of the exhibition.
I made a corridore with 30 fluorescent tubes of 17000 Kelvin, a very cold but energizing light.
A sound of breathing was heard in the corridore like it was alive, but people could put on ear protection and be within their own breathing, their own sounds.

Many thanks to Philips for their unique fluorescent tubes.
The text by Leif Holmstrand (in Swedish)
”Frusna kroppar, stela, hårda som is
