The video installation ’Time Korea’ is a transfer in place and time.

Description:
The larger projection shows South Korea 2002.
The sound was recorded in the central city of Seoul.

The smaller projection shows South Korea 1952.
The photos were taken by the Swedish nurse Ulla Essén. She worked at the Swedish hospital in South Korea 1952. At the American camp she bought a camera and took photos of everything she saw and experienced. Fantastic photos but also sad, showing the effects of the war. I got the permission from her to scan all her slide pictures and frame them. A journey back to another time on the other side of the globe.
