A film which takes us from the Big Bang to now in 5 minutes.

Universal Body is a collaboration project between visual artist Gunilla Leander and butoh choreographer and dancer SU-EN (Susanna Åkerlund). The film premiered at the Uppsala International Short Film Festival of 1999.

Universal Body is a visual excursion, in which the body confronts the explosive forces of the universe. The concept of what constitutes human is being stretched. Where does one draw the line between form and matter?
